Here we have upgraded this commercial access control system. The original intercom was over 10 years old. The system in place had a number of issues and is no longer supported by the manufacturer. Parts and spares were no longer easy to source and hence we proposed an upgrade.
The new intercom is an IP system. To accommodate this, move across to IP, it was required that we upgrade the wiring and controllers to the system too. The new video handset in place will allow the operator to hold two-way conversations with callers, with a live associated image and the release of relevant access points.
