Disciplines: Fire, Intruder, Disabled Refuge, IPCCTV
Project Duration: 6 Months
Location: Lockleaze, Bristol
Project Team: 4 Engineers
This is a £5.2m sports complex which has transformed facilities and provided opportunities for the whole community in Lockleaze. The first phase of development has seen the creation of a clubhouse, social space, two all-weather pitches, multi-use games area, provision for dog-walking, trim trail and cycle routes across currently underutilised fields near Bonnington Walk. The transformation has been dubbed a “great success story for the community” by mayor Marvin Rees, who sees it as a way of bringing people of all ages together and encouraging activity at a time when Bristol holds the title of European City of Sport.”
Fire & security for sports centres.
Mayor Marvin Rees said: “Redesigning community spaces to get more value out of them will be crucial for Bristol in the future so I am pleased to see this approach is already in action in Lockleaze. I look forward to seeing these clubs flourish and continuing to build on the great success stories communities are creating in sport across the city.”
